Ana
Sofia Henao, also know as Angel, was born on the 19th of
June in
1982 in the then small town of Medellin, Antioquia. Henao is
best known for
her appearance in Crystal Gold commercials; a popular Colombian beer.
Henao made her breakthrough into professional modeling at age 16 when
she was hired to pose for a swimsuit catalog named Onda De Mar. At only
27 years of age, she has become an large asset to the projects that
she’s a part of. Both men and women know her name
and she
hopes to use
that popularity to further her modeling career. There is no doubt that
this great star is going to continue to shine for years to
come .
Career Highlights
It
was her "SoHo" shoot that earned her the title of the Colombian "Lolita", who drives
kids, teenagers, parents, and grandparents mad is the envy of most
women of that country.
In
1997, Ana Sofia was selected to model for the Onda de Mar catalog.
Her career began to blossom after Ana Sofia's apperanace in
the magazine Shock
and a major modeling assignment for designer Carlos Pinel's clothing
line
With the success of
the Carlos Pinel gig, Ana Sofia Henao's
career has began to delvelop and flourish. After Pinel, she modeled for
Wexler and was also involved as a
model for Scribe notebooks for more than five
years. In 2000, she was named as the most
beautiful woman in Colombia in a country-wide survey.
Between
1998-2000 Ana became the Colombian face for Skechers joining
the
ranks of such beautiies as Christina Aquilera, Ashlee
Simpson,
and Britney Spears.
One of
Ana Sofia's career highlights came in 2001 when she was named "Angel of 2001".
Since that award, Ana Sofia has maintained a steady schedule
of work including Cervesa Cristal Oro, a Colombian beer. 4 of

With a population of 2 1/2 million
inhabitants, Medellín is the 2nd largest city in
Columbia. Medellín also serves as the core of the
Metripoliton Area (Area
Metropolitana de Medellín), and
is the second largest in Colombia in terms of population with
more than 3.2 million and the 95th most populous metripoliton area in
the world.
Every
time I see a Cristal Oro(Crystal Gold) commercial
I can’t help but hit the rewind button on my DVR. I bet that
probably happens to a lot of guys. It’s not that I just sit
there
and drool over Ana for hours or anything crazy like that,
she’s
just simply the hottest woman that I’ve ever seen. Her voice
is
like an angel and her smile is like a beam of sunshine. I know
that’s a really cheesy line, but I think that she brings that
kind of stuff out of a lot of guys.
You know, beyond her
beauty and all the sex appeal that
surrounds her commercials and advertisements, I bet that
she’s a
really smart girl. One thing that a lot of people don’t know
about her is that she graduated high school early and immediately
entered college for a degree in communications. Most women of her
beauty wouldn’t even think about doing that, they’d
think
about getting married to a rich man, but I think it’s pretty
obvious that she was not going to do something of that nature. She
wanted to be successful on her own terms; she wanted to be beautiful
and intelligent. I don’t know her, so I can’t
really say
what she’s like outside of her TV spots but I would imagine
that
she’s achieved her goals and feel good about where
she’s at
in life.
